W/Mo pre-searing grawl farmer concept
[note; i though this up while eating breakfast, didn't get around to testing it yet]
here goes;
Gear:
An axe.
A shield with "-2 damage while enchanted"
full collector's armor [27armor + 20vs physical]
Attributes:
Try to keep axe mastery as high as possible, then protection prayers, and dump everything else into strength [put a point or two into tactics if your shield requires any]
Skills:
Cyclone axe
Executioner's Strike
Frenzy
Healing sig
Shielding Hands
Symbol of Wrath
[rest fill up with whatever]
So there's a really big bunch of grawl between the entrence to Green Hills and that estate outpost, a lvl 8~ warrior can easily charge into them, and with shielding hands on you will get 0 damage from them.
just use cyclone axe when it's up [to deal damage to everyone around you] and executioner's on the one you're targetting. providing you have enough foes in your surroundings - you will be able to use executioner's after every cyclone axe. lots of damage
when things ge nasty and your hp dips low for some reason, use symbol of wrath - the grawl will run, quickly use healing signet once or twice to get hp back, then shielding hands again, and kill the suckas
you may wonder "why would anyone farm pre searing o_O"
well, i used a w/r for the same run, and so far i have 17 black dyes on that char you do the math

Sweet. On average how many grawl do you kill per minute? I've always been slashing those undead near oberan with smiting. Didnt think of grawl.. thanks

Can pretty much kill everything around you in a minute - that depends how many of them you agro on yourself.
you can also try the bandit groups outside of ashford, or the skale outside fort ranik, but those don't drop black dyes for me as often as the grawl do

Well, I love your idea but it's just pure bullshit.
I've been following your "build" and farming the grawl for a long time. No black dye.
They only drop crappy swords and Grawl Necklaces

Then I guess it differs from person to person?
The bandits are always dropping Worn Belts.
Just shit. Skales are only dropping Skale Fins etc.
Where are the Blacks?

well.........you could just SF farm with like...3 henchies, and get as much as you would get tenfold in pre. also, you could jsut do that once, and then get enough money to afford a solo necro.

You can also buy a War Pick Pre-Order Key (18-33 Hammer), get to level 16, put 12 points in Hammer Mastery, and farm anything that you kill in one blow. The closer they are together, the better it is, Gargoyles are the best!

I always found it pointless to farm in pre-searing unless your looking for black dyes, besides that you would be greatly wasting your time. However would be fun to own Gawls in pre-searing. Haha...

Well it only takes a day or so of gaming to get to level 8, completely unassisted. Then you can make a decent living in there... sure it's not fun but then again not much farming is. If you have a weekend where the social plans crap out on you (or if you simply don't have social activities, I mean we are on the internet here!) then you can make a good amount of money on this without much effort.
I just started a new character on Friday and very nearly did a bunch of dye farming before I left (didn't see this post before going post-searing) but then I remembered that I was making the W/Mo as a break from my R/Me farmer so stopping for dye along the way wasn't the best idea.

Nice idea. But if your relying on them to run so you can heal, It may get ugly. The AI update does not seem to affect the pre-searing monsters. I use a mo/e build to farm the 15~ spiders south of fort ranik, in the ditch, with wrath and firestorm. They just sit and soak up the dmg.
